The Traveler's Charm

The Traveler's Charm

Leo bought the bracelet from a street vendor in Prague. It was rough — black cord, raw-cut crystals, and one tiny golden bead that read: “SAFE.”

He wore it every time he boarded a train, crossed a border, hiked alone in the mountains.

He lost it once in a river — thought it was gone for good. A week later, a stranger in a small village returned it, saying, “Something told me it belonged to you.”

He never questioned it.

Years later, when his daughter prepared to travel the world, Leo handed her the bracelet and simply said, “It’s kept me safe. It’ll do the same for you.”
